Israel has agreed to return the $200 million that China paid for the Phalcon AWACS planes Israel (under heavy US pressure) decided not to sell, and to pay the Chinese another $150 million in damages. The Chinese, furious over the cancelled sale of aircraft superior to any available outside of the US, had originally demanded $1 billion in damages.Stephen V Cole
