Royal Ordnance (of Britain) has received a contract to provide Morocco with spare parts for the 30 towed L118 Light Gun howitzers which have been out of service for some years. The Moroccans are also buying six refurbished guns from Britain. The contract is controversial because most British believe that the weapons have been used against the Polisario rebels, and will be used again if fighting resumes.--Stephen V Cole
