Pakistan has stopped religious students from leaving Pakistan to join the Taliban forces fighting the Northern Alliance. Anti-Taliban forces in eastern Afghanistan (near the Pakistan border) continue their attacks on Taliban bases. These attacks are not severe enough to do any significant damage to the Taliban, but they do show that opposition to the Taliban is not restricted to the Northern Alliance.
