Seven al Qaeda members were captured in Kabul. This was the first time that this has happened. American forces are also scouring the countryside, nabbing some al Qaeda members as well. 

Massive amounts of counterfeit Afghan currency are flooding the country. Actually, a lot of it isn't exactly counterfeit, as the printing plates for the Afghan currency have long been in Russia, where money is printed and sold to the highest bidder. The new government is considering replacing the beleaguered Afghani with a new currency. But this will not be without pain, and violence.
