The main pipeline near the oil town of Warri that has been supplying natural gas to Nigeria's biggest power station was ruptured by explosives planted by suspected  Ijaw tribal militants. ChevronTexaco's Escravos gas plant supplies the Egbin thermal power station, near Nigeria's biggest city, Lagos.
