In northeast India, the government is offering many members of the Bodo Liberation Tiger (BLT) movement jobs in the police and army. The BLT disbanded as part of a deal with the government to end their rebellion. Many of the former BLT fighters have spent their entire adult life in the bush, fighting. So it made sense to recruit some of these men for security units that are still fighting the six other tribal rebel groups that are still operating.
