India-Pakistan: December 4, 2002

India and Russia reaffirmed their military and economic ties. While Russia sells weapons and technology cheap, increasing numbers of Indians are dismayed at the shoddy quality of the Russian goods. While this does not matter much in the case of weapons, as none of Pakistan's potential foes have anything better, the second rate industrial technology hurts India's competitiveness on world markets.

Christmas is around the corner. StrategyPage needs your help to make it a merry one for our content elves. Because of falling ad revenues and the owners of the site wanting you to have a good experience, the content elves may recieve no gifts from Santa Dunnigan.

What can you do to help the content elves have a merry Christmas? There are three possibilities:

  1. Make sure you spread the word about us. Two ways to do that are to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
  2. Subscribe to our daily newsletter. We’ll send the news to your email box, and you don’t have to come to the site unless you want to read columns or see photos.
  3. You can contribute to the health of StrategyPage. A contribution is not a donation that you can deduct at tax time, but a form of crowdfunding. We store none of your information when you contribute..

Drake appreciates any help you can give him.
