Pakistan is keeping the pressure on along the Afghan border, perhaps because there are American investigators involved. In Pakistan Kashmir, Islamic militant groups keep government, and anyone else they don't like, from looking around. Journalists that have gotten into the area report that the Islamic militants pretty much control dozens of camps and training areas and are not hassled by the Pakistani army or police. India and Pakistan are still deadlocked over Kashmir, and any escalation of violence by Islamic militants in Kashmir could bring more nuclear brinksmanship.
