In southwestern Pakistan, Baluchi separatists fired three rockets at an army camp. There were no injuries. The Baluchi people have never fully accepted their incorporation into Pakistan. The Baluchs have long been considered a "warrior people" and are much sought after as mercenaries and bodyguards. The Pakistani government vowed a crackdown on religious extremists, who are increasingly the cause of violence inside Pakistan. The religious groups have rejected such restrictions. In Kashmir, violence left four rebels dead and five soldiers and six civilians wounded.
