The US has offered Turkey two more FFG-7 Perry-class frigates, which would give the Turks a total of nine of these ships. The two in question, FFG-15 Estocin and FFG-13 Morison, are in active US Navy service but due to be retired shortly, and they could be in Turkish hands within four months. The Turks will pay $110 million for the ships with their weapons and sensors.--Stephen V Cole
