: Captain Charles Ziegenfuss, CO of Company C, 2-34 Armor battalion (part of the 1st Infantry Division) and author of the blog From My Position On the Way! (http://tcoverride.blogspot.com) was wounded by an IED in Iraq on June 22. His blog has described several incidents he was involved in (including a raid on Ansar al-Sunna cells in which some Korean coins were discovered, an effort to secure the crash site of an AH-64 Apache that was shot down, and the capture of the terrorists responsible among others), and some gratuitous tank pics of the Abrams tanks in his company. Ziegenfusss posting style tends to be about as subtle as the Abrams tanks in the company he commanded.

Ziegenfuss was evacuated to Landstuhl, Germany, and at this writing he is currently at Walter Reed Hospital near Washington DC. Many of military these bloggers have provided a voice to the side of Iraq that does not get out in a media, which  is more focused on the latest terrorist attacks.  Harold C.
