Israel is negotiating with the United States for the purchase of fifty F-22s. They want delivery to start by 2007 and the United States Air Force is said to have agreed to that. It was reported, just before he left the presidency, that Bill Clinton assured Israel that it would be able to get the F-22. Israel has often been the first foreign customer for high tech American weapons.
