CAR President Ange-Felix Patasse, in a radio broadcast, claimed that a large weapons arsenal was discovered in the home of alleged coup leader (and Patasse opponent) General Andre Kolingba. Patasses real pitch was for international political involvement in the CAR. He asked the UN Security Council, the EU, France, and the OAU to carry out inspections of Kolingbas arsenal in Bangui.
