The U.S. government has ordered the seizure of any assets of Abu Sayyaf leader Khadaffy Janjalani. This man is thought to have gotten a large chunk of the millions in ransoms Abu Sayyaf received in the last few years, and that some of this money is in the United States. Meanwhile, the government declared a three week holiday truce, and hoped that Islamic and communist rebel groups would go along.
