Army commandoes killed another leader of  the Pentagon gang. This is s breakaway faction of MILF that was quite successful at kidnapping for ransom. The gang was placed on the U.S. terror watch list in 2002. The gang was responsible for more than 30 abductions in the south over the past three years. 

 Jemaah Islamiah has, in the past four years, reacted to the army's capture of major MILF camps by establishing smaller camps in more remote areas, where about twenty terrorist recruits at a time are trained to carry out bomb attacks.
