With Islamic radicals defeated, and most of the survivors driven into the southern deserts, or exile, the government will try to eliminate any lingering resentments by holding a referendum to get popular support for an amnesty. This would eliminate a lot of the revenge killings that would occur as  the Islamic terrorists continued to surface.
