It was revealed today that an Islamic radical killed last September 12th by Algerian troops was a key (but not senior) al Qaeda operative. The man, Emad Abdelwahid Ahmed Alwan, was a Yemeni who was sent to Algeria to "evaluate" the activities of GSPC.
