The Secret Service is pressing hard for new President Bush to drop his campaign promise to reopen Pennsylvania Avenue. The street on the north edge of the White House grounds was closed by President Clinton after the Secret Service convinced him than an Oklahoma City-type truck bomb could severely damage the building. The Secret Service has reportedly shown President Bush a graphic computer-animated videotape of such an attack. Bush has been non-committal on the issue when asked recently by DC officials anxious to
