mso-bidi-language: AR-SA"> Sri Lanka has demanded that Thailand conduct further investigations into a small submersible vessel under construction in a Thai shipyard. There is strong suspicion that the LTTE had ordered the vessel. When the shipyard owner was arrested on unrelated charges, he was found in possession of LTTE literature, a curious collection of sonar and radar equipment that seemed unlikely to be used on the tour boats his company operated, and other curious items. When the shipyard that services his tour boats was searched, the incomplete submersible was found. The hull was complete, but no systems had been installed.--Stephen V Cole
