 India has agreed to supply military equipment to assist the fight against Maoist rebels. In particular, India will contribute more helicopters. The Nepalese armed forces only have nine helicopters at present.

In several incidents, two soldiers were killed and four rebels arrested (and a large quantity of weapons and munitions seized.)
