Israeli defense exports increased 16 percent last year, to $3.6 billion. This represented about ten percent of  world exports of weapons and defense equipment. India is the biggest customer, accounting for nearly half the sales. Israeli sales could have been larger, if not for American efforts to block the sale of military equipment to China.
