A Palestinian suicide bomber, stopped from entering a crowded cafe by a suspicious soldier, detonated a bomb he was carrying. The bomber was killed, and 30 people were wounded. The Islamic Jihad group took credit and said the attack was a "gift to the Iraqi people." This was the first suicide bomber attack in over three weeks. The Israelis have been stopping most of the suicide bombing attempts, some in the planning stage when terrorist cell members are arrested inside Palestine territory.
