StrategyPage reported sometime ago on the contretemps between Turkey and France sparked by a French resolution concerning the massacre by Ottoman forces of several hundred thousand Armenians (the Armenian genocide) during World War I. Both France and Turkey are involved in Afghanistan and in southeastern Europe (and theres also Iraq, of course). Turkey is particularly interested in French avionics, and French support for its bid to join the EU..
