Approximately 50 Turk and Greek Cypriots fought with one another with bricks and iron bars in the town of Limassol (south Cyprus, in the Greek zone). Reports said that some 60 Turk Cypriots had left the northern (Turk Army occupied) part of the island and moved into Limassol. The largest Turk community in the Greek zone is in Limassol. UN sources say between 400 and 500 Turk Cypriots live in the Greek Cypriot south.
