The chief of immigration in Greek Cyprus was jailed for corruption. Among the accusations leveled at the bureaucrat was the acceptance of bribes to issue residence and work permits to barmaids and "foreign strippers." Yes, as in strip teasers. Allegedly, the women arrive as tourists then try to find jobs in Cypriot cabarets.
