Naval Air: Seahawks Flock To Spain

Archives

October 7, 2010: Spain is buying six American SH-60F naval helicopters for their navy. Spain already has twelve SH-60s, and the new ones are actually used models that will be refurbished to the latest standards in equipment for search and rescue missions. The SH-60 Seahawk is a navalized version of the U.S. Army UH-60 Blackhawk. The two models share 83 percent parts commonality. The SH-60F was built for anti-submarine duty, but is being replaced by the more flexible (it can perform other missions) MH-60R.
