Belgium wants 169 new armored recon vehicles to replace their British-built Scimitar light tanks, and is testing three contenders. It wants a 4x4 armored car with an external 12.7mm weapon, a crew of three, advanced sensors, and a diesel engine. Under test are the Scarab by Alvis, the Fennek by SP Aerospace, and the Puch Survivor by Steyr of Austria.-Stephen V Cole
