The government accused members of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) attacking an Arab village in Darfur, stealing 150 cattle, and killing a dozen villagers who resisted the raid. The rebels consider the Arab tribes as murderers, for having participated in several years of raids that killed over 100,000 non-Arab villagers, and sent over two million into exile.
