 A major roadblock to peace with the MILF rebels is the attitude of most Christians, especially the Christian minority in the south and the Christian leadership of the army, that the military offensive should continue until the rebels are destroyed in the bush.

In the south, a Abu Sayyaf bomb went off in a bus, injuring the conductor.
