Turkish and western sources reported a significant new counter-guerrilla operation in eastern Turkey. The main action appears to be near the town of Cemisgezek in an area named Alibogazi. Intelligence sources (including captured PKK guerrillas) claim that there are numerous caves in the area used as ammo and food dumps. None of the reports mentioned the size of the Turkish Army force engaged in the operation.
