Another Russian RS-18 ICBM, converted into a satellite launcher, and renamed Rokot, has been used to put nine small communications satellites into low orbit on June 30th. This program saves the expense of destroying ICBMs now banned by treaty, and brings in cash for putting the satellites into orbit.
