Congress canceled the Discoverer-2 space-based radar satellite after the Pentagon did not schedule funding for a full constellation of them. The Pentagon is now furious, wanting the money restored, because without the technology from the Discoverer-2 demonstration, plans for future space-based radars will be delayed.--Stephen V Cole
