Russia launched the Gorizont satellite with a Proton booster from Baikonur Cosmodrome on 6 June. Gorizont is a dual-use satellite, providing improved television signals in Siberia. It will also "conduct unspecified work" for the Defense Ministry.--Stephen V Cole
