Russia and Ukraine have jointly begun production of the new AN-70 transport plane. Russia has given an initial order for 10 aircraft (it wants 164) and Ukraine has ordered five (out of a projected requirement for 65). China is expected to also order the AN-70.--Stephen V Cole
