7 NGO organizations asked for new negotiations over the MOU in southern Sudan. Save the Children UK, CARE. Oxfam, World Vision International, the carter Center, Veterinarians Without Borders, and a branch of Doctors Without Borders (all members of the Southern Relief and Rehabilitation Association) all appealed for more time to reach a negotiated settlement with the SPLA. (Interestingly, the Southern Relief and Rehabilitation Association is sponsored by the SPLA's political arm, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement.)
