The FDD issued a statement that said its forces would not quit fighting until the Burundian government reached a comprehensive settlement with the rebels. The FDD contended that there is no peace for AU peacekeepers to keep in Burundi. The FDD said that as long as the government continues to fight the FDD will conduct operations.
