A Burundian Army spokesman said 66 people were killed in fighting near Bujumbura and in central Burundi. This near fighting erupted as Nelson Mandela arrived for new peace talks. In one of the raids, 16 Tutsis were killed by Hutu attackers the spokesman said were operating out of Tanzania.
