India and Russia have, after years of negotiations, signed a deal whereby India buys the Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov. Russia will refit the carrier to Indian specifications and supply three dozen MiG-29K fighters for use aboard the ship. It will be three years before the carrier enters service.
