In North Sumatra, police arrested six men attempting to bomb a supermarket. Police say the men were Aceh separatists, not Islamic radicals from Jemaah Islamiyah.

In Central Sulawesi, police are making house to house searches in  Moslem neighborhoods looking for assault rifles that have been used to shoot up churches and Christians neighborhoods. These recent attacks have not caused many casualties, but police fear more such weapons are being smuggled into the area and that the attacks will increase in number and lethality.
