 The government sent 2,000 troops and police to Central Sulawesi to prevent further violence by Islamic militant militias. The Islamic militants were first drawn to the area because of the large Christian population, and the chance to kill infidels (non-Moslems.) But there have also been attempts to set up terrorist training camps.
