A militant Islamic group, the Front for the Defender of Islam (FPI) has revived it's paramilitary wing, the Laskar FPI. Last year, the Laskar FPI staged numerous violent raids on night clubs and restaurants in order to eliminate "un-Islamic" behavior. There raids were very unpopular, and eventually public opinion and police pressure forced the  Laskar FPI to disband. This time around, the FPI says they will stay within the law.
