The Russian legislature approved a border treaty with China. For the first time since the Russian empire reached the Pacific, and acquired a border with China, there is now an agreement between the two nations on exactly what their common border is. Lack of such an agreement has resulted in centuries of border skirmishes, and even a few battles.
