China has just signed a new military pact with Laos, providing $1.3 million worth of military equipment (which could be quite a bit as Chinese prices are a fraction of what the West considers market value) and increasing the number of Laotian officers who can attend training schools in China from 10 to 35. China also signed a deal to give $3.75 million in military equipment to Cambodia.--Stephen V Cole
