Algeria says it has stopped negotiating with the Chad rebel group MDJT. The Algerians were trying to come to terms to obtain Algerian Islamic radicals the MDJT were holding. The talks apparently broke down over how much money the MDJT wanted. The Chad government was also protesting the negotiations. The MDJT are a small, tribe based group that opposes the current Chad national leadership.
