On the Kenyan border, Kenyan police and tribesmen fought with a large group of Ugandan cattle rustlers, killing forty of them. The 90 Ugandan Karamojong raiders were detected after they crossed the border, and ambushed shortly thereafter. The Karamojong, armed with AK-47s,  frequently raid Kenyan cattle herds, and the police have been keen on catching them at it.
