Uganda announced that it had withdrawn a reinforced infantry battalion from the DRC areas of Mahagi and Aru. The unit and its equipment were in the Ugandan town of Nebbi (West Nile Province). The battalion deployed in October to try to stop ethnic unrest in the DRC region.
