On November 19 the Ugandan Army (or UPDF, Uganda Peoples Defense Force) claimed its soldiers killed 28 LRA thugs in a series of firefights in Agago county (Gulu province). On November 18 the Ugandan Army rescued 63 abducted people from the LRA in a series of operations in Kitgum district (Gulu province).
