The US has said that it would treat the LTTE like a terrorist organization if the LTTE broke the ceasefire and peace accords they had agreed to. The implication was that US special forces would assist the army and US warships and aircraft would help with the naval blockade keeping the LTTE from getting fresh supplies of weapons and ammunition.
