The government says it has stopped the LTTE attacks, but fighting continues. Today, over a hundred people died, mostly LTTE. In the past, the LTTE have stopped their attacks only because they wanted to rest, reorganize and resupply before starting up again. The government says it has introduced new weapons to assist in stopping the LTTE drive. The fighting has made at least 9,000 people harmless.
