New fighting broke out in Burundi November 12 when FNL rebels clashed with the Burundian army. Twelve died in the clash. There was no breakdown on government and FNL casualties. On November 14 another firefight broke out. Three Burundian troops died in an ambush along National Highway 7, southeast of Bujumbura.
